When I click to open a course presentation the screen goes blank. What do I do now?
The most likely cause for this problem is that your computer does not have the required version of the Flash Plugin. Many of the presentations which are linked to course pages in ePath are in the Adobe/MacroMedia Breeze format. In order to view a Breeze file, your computer must have the Plugin software installed properly in the MS Internet Explorer. When you call the HELPDESK to report this issue, they will complete the download and installation remotely.
Note: There is a fairly simple way to confirm whether or not you have the Plugin.
- Open Internet Explorer
- Go to www.adobe.com
- If the Adobe homepage has a static graphic at the top of the page, beneath the gray menu bar, this will indicate that your machine DOES NOT have the Flash Plugin.
- If you notice an animated loading bar, and then see an animated scene appear in this space, this means that your machine HAS the Plugin. If this is the case, then you have some other problem.
- If this happens, please contact onlinelearning@firstmarblehead.com

What is the passing score for the tests in ePath?
The answer to that question will vary according to the learning objectives of the course. Tests are designed for several reasons, including:
- Course participation and completion
- Transfer of critical knowledge or concepts
- Understanding and compliance
In most (if not all) cases, the required passing score will be indicated in the course, prior to and after submitting your answers. Passing scores are also displayed in your History.
If you have questions regarding passing scores, contact onlinelearning@firstmarblehead.com

During a test, my answers were somehow submitted before I completed the test.
What do I do now?
Most tests include the instruction to only use the buttons on the test web page to go to the next or previous question. If you try to use the browser control buttons (back or forward), or click on one of your Favorites, the system will automatically submit your test results to the database and record your score.
Most tests are also setup to allow more than one attempt to achieve a passing score. Unfortunately, you must start the test from the beginning.
If you have any other questions regarding this issue, contact onlinelearning@firstmarblehead.com

Is there a way to have bad test scores removed from My History?
Yes, this may be done.
Please send your request and a brief explanation to onlinelearning@firstmarblehead.com.
Please be sure to copy your supervisor or classroom instructor on your email request.

What is a Learning Path?
A Learning Path is a group of courses, which in some cases must be completed in a specific sequence. The Learning Path will display all the courses as a group and indicate the required order. The first course must be completed before proceeding to the next. In most cases, course completion includes achieving a passing score on a test.
